Dear Strilka,
I submitted a picture with my profile but my picture doesn't appear.

Dear Member,
Thanks for contacting us. Photographs greater than 100 Kb in size may not load properly. Please resize your main picture (and secondary pictures) to under 100 Kb in JPG/JPEG format and everything should work fine.

If you still experience problems, send your picture(s) and username to contact AT strilka DOT tv and we'll post it for you.


Dear Strilka,
I am interested in your service. I have photos of myself, but do not have a scanner in which to attach to my profile. Is it possible for me to mail a couple photos of myself that you would be able to attach to my profile? I would appreciate your help.

Dear Member,
Thank you for your message. We suggest visiting an internet cafe (they have scanners) or borrowing a digital camera from a friend. Afterwards, submit your profile with a photograph and we'll add a free messaging package just for the hassle.


Dear Strilka,
Is there a way to contact, or be contacted, by someone without being a premium member, i.e. for free? Thank You.

Thank you for your message. Yes, you can send a strilka to anyone free. Just go to a profile and click the double arrow. A "Strilka" is a free way to contact someone. After the recipient is notified, they can view your profile and decide whether they like what they read (hint: write a good profile and add pictures, video, and audio greetings!) If you receive a "Strilka" back from them, that's a good sign. Sending and receiving strilkas allows people to express interest in each other before taking the next step.

I accidentally deleted a beautiful message. DRAT ! How can I get it back?

Thanks for your message. Unfortunately deleted messages, IMs, chat conversations cannot be retrieved. Future versions of Strilka may have a "trash bin".


Hello,
After sending a message I receive a copy in my outbox.  I have noticed that the envelope icon has disappeared in some of my sent emails. What does this mean?

Thank you for your message. The envelope icon indicates that the message has not been read by the recipient. The icon disappears when the message has been read.


Dear Strilka Team,
Imagine the following scenario: As a Premium Member, I send email to Member X, who is a Standard Member. If he should so desire will Member X be able to email me back? Or would he first need to become a Premium Member? Just wondering how the system works. Looking forward to your assistance. Thanks.

Dear Strilka Team,
I'm not sure if you will be able to help me but I'm hopeful. Over the Christmas holidays there was a member that I wanted to connect with. I was away from a computer for a few weeks, and now it looks as though her profile is gone! I'm wondering if there is anyway I could send an email through the site to her. I forget her screen name... I understand there are privacy issues, and I'm not at all asking for any personal info, but is there a way I could send a message? I'd really appreciate the chance to make the connection!

Thank you for your message.  Unfortunately, if a Strilka member does not appear in a search, then they have removed their profile or switched it from public to private mode. Either way, we cannot answer your request per our privacy policy. You can only contact a member when their Strilka profile is visible. It may be frustrating, but this is the best policy to protect all members.

Thank you for your message. Click "Forgot Password" on our home page and input the email address you registered with. The username, password, and confirmation link details will be sent to you. Also check your email filter settings so that infoATstrilka.tv isn't blocked.

I signed up, but gave an incorrect email address (it doesn't even exist) and need to have someone change it. The system is not allowing me to sign on, as I never received the confirmation email.

I am a WOMAN seeking MEN, e.g. I registered as interested in MEN. Now, I just received a "match-mail" from you with profiles of women. Why would you send me profiles of women?

Thank you for your message. Login and check your advanced search settings. Match Mail looks at search settings for each member and yours are saved as "woman" seeking a "woman".

My account was suspended. Why?

Thank you for your message. To combat spam Strilka has a filter that looks for certain words/phrases and if a user sends identical emails, e.g. cutting and pasting identical messages. In your case the latter occurred and the account was suspended. Please vary your message content to prevent this from happening again. Thanks.

I just signed up with strilka and when I did a search of men all over the world (45-60), it said search again. Do you have any members over 45? Or is this just a young persons' site??

Thank you for your message. There are males over 45 on Strilka, though we launched only a few months ago and are slowly building membership. Please try your search again. Strilka welcomes singles across all ages, but we have to be patient before the word spreads.

Thank you for your message. Login to your Strilka account and beneath 'My Tools' click 'Encounters'. This feature displays the last fifty members that have viewed your profile.

As for our tagline, thanks (we know). We took a bit of artistic license because it is a solid identity that defines us well, i.e. Strilka is the new network for Ukrainian singles.

The ID "manager" has appeared in my Encounters box since I first signed up. Is this somebody from Strilka's administration?

Dear Member,
The "manager" profile is The Strilka Team or someone from our technical team. The profile is used for administrative purposes, e.g. approving profiles, updating accounts, correcting registrations, resetting suspended accounts, etc. (the list is quite long). It appears in nearly everyone's account, so ignore it whenever you see it. The owners don't use Strilka for personal use.

Dear Ukrainian Friends,
First of all, Congratulations for finally starting the first Ukrainian Singles Web site! I recently joined and I think that it is great! However, I think that you really need to advertise much more so that more Ukes know about your great site... I would really like to see Strilka succeed. I'd like to give you the name of three largely used Ukrainian news/info Web sites and access to my Ukrainian group (of which I am the owner and moderator, currently with 64 group members). I thought you can submit press releases to these sites and post ads on my Ukrainian group, in order to recruit new members.

If you're referring to Brama, Infoukes, and E-poshta, our attempts to purchase advertisements, or at least have a banner exchange with these respectable firms, were rejected. Thanks for your message. Unfortunately, you cannot change your username without deleting your profile. However, if you really want a new username, you can simply create a new profile (and delete your old profile).
