Login to your account and click 'My Control Panel', then click 'Visible' at the bottom.

... and your profile is now hidden from public view. Click 'Hidden', and it becomes visible again.

Hiding profiles can be useful if you go on vacation and will be away from the computer for a while, or are receiving too many messages and need to take a break.
