In 2009 he consulted for Knightsbridge and their new start-up online career management service, Careego, providing online marketing, SEO/M, and media strategies. In 2007-08 he worked at First Media Group, Inc. (FMG) where he created/optimized a dozen+ Web sites for natural traffic and established a new online growth and marketing strategy combining database driven user generated content, SEO, taxonomy, and search behaviour (see chart below).
He tutored the general manager of TLI Software, and his staff on online marketing, SEO, Analytics, Adwords, Adsense, and how to resell these services. He also provided SEO services to the TLI Web site allowing it to increase natural traffic and, since 2008, land the firm many contracts for software development and outsourcing.
Additionally he provided SEO services to Accutel, an audio conferencing firm, and for Web sites owned by TLI customers, friends of FMG senior executives, and FMG personnel (Wallpaper Company, GT Murals, Perfectly Planned, Picture Wagon, etc.)
Later, he was responsible for providing SEO services for FMG legacy dating sites, e.g. Heart 2 Heart (H2H) network, Datopia, Quest Personals, and for FMG's text chat services. He was also tasked with creating FMG online promotion giveaways for the purpose of collecting and selling personal information.
Bill previously worked at Dow Chemical as a technical consultant and at Nortel Networks as Manager, Web Marketing. He completed undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Toronto, McMaster University, and studied in Boston, Moscow, and Kyiv.
